About United States
The United States is large enough that a single journey usually has to commit to one region. The north-east is dense and walkable in parts, New York above all. The west coast is spread out, and California by itself runs from desert to redwood forest within one state line.
The national parks are the other reason people come, and their scale surprises most first-time visitors. The Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone are a day's drive apart from one another, not an afternoon.
